(Jan 2019) - Spice Kitchen Incubator is seeing huge growth in programmatic services and small business scale-up opportunities. As we reflect on 2018, we sure have a lot to look forward to in 2019!

From November 2017-2018, Spice Kitchen Incubator entrepreneurs accessed 367 market opportunities, including Spice To Go, farmer's markets, catered events, and whole sale locations. Additionally, 1632 hours of subsidized-rate kitchen time was logged, significantly reducing total expenses for start-up businesses. Two cohorts were enrolled, including 16 entrepreneurs, totaling the number of entrepreneurs served to 60.

Spice Kitchen Incubator staff provided 2500 hours of technical assistance to participating entrepreneurs including business planning, marketing assistance, recipe costing, food safety courses, and 75 hours of financial literacy and coaching. Community volunteers and corporate partners contributed an additional 2300 hours of service to program participants including assistance at special events, professional photography, and a number of workshops.

Entrepreneurs represented 23 countries across 5 continents, providing highly demanded culinary diversity to the greater Salt Lake City area.
