The IRC hosted, in partnership with the Spice Kitchen Incubator and Creminelli Fine Meats, the 2022 Discover Food Festival. This event was made possible by dozens of volunteers, raised over $15,000 for the IRC and the Spice Kitchen Incubator program, and created $12,809 in sales for the participating Spice Kitchen Entrepreneurs.
The Discover Food Festival was held at “Little City,” 349 West 700 South in Salt Lake City, Utah.
It was a celebration of global food traditions and an opportunity to taste the rich culinary diversity available in the Beehive State. Nearly 700 people attended throughout the day. We had 16 entrepreneur vendors in attendance, representing 14 different countries.
The event supported entrepreneurs participating in the IRC's Spice Kitchen Incubator program that works to assist refugee and new American culinary businesses to start, scale and sustain their efforts in Utah. Participating entrepreneurs receive technical assistance and training, affordable access to commercial kitchen space, and learn the steps to establish a successful food business.

The event provided an opportunity to enjoy food from around the globe, live entertainment, and entrepreneur food demonstrations as part of Salt Lake County's 2022 Welcoming Week celebrations! General admission ticket purchases directly supported the efforts of Spice Kitchen Incubator.
